van Gogh has always been one of my favorites. I sort of feel slightly uncultured because I don’t know a lot about art, but I do know what I like. When I was in high school my art class was got to pick a piece to replicate on the window shutters. My group picked this one, because someone else got “Starry Night.”
Everyone has that special band that brings them to tears. That band that they'd follow across the universe if ever possible. That band that helped them through those hard times that it was almost as if they had been sitting next to you the whole time, holding your hand. Everyone has that band that has left such an impression that it'd take years to ever forget them. We all have that band that made such a difference in our lives that not one person on this Earth would understand it even if you explained it to them.
This song totally makes me tear up because it’s such a beautiful song. I usually make a habit of listening to this song when the new year rings in. In Hawaii, there’s a lot of celebration, and I listen to this song while watching the fireworks. The way the song builds, and the climax of it is amazing.
There was a period where I’ve read quite a bit of HP fiction. There was this nice one that centered mostly on Tonks/Remus. There was a Snape/Tonks one too, which I thought was weird, but I ended up liking. Don’t really read it now, though. A lot of the enjoyment depended on whether the writer was actually GOOD at writing, for one. Some would write, but it would look like this:
HARRY: Accio textbook!
*get’s [yes, that was intentional] textbook*
RON: That was ace!
And that’s how some would write their fanfic, which was really lazy and stupid. Anyway, I’m supposed to post one? I found this one I’ve read before. Kind of writes in between passages of OOTP. It’s alright.
every so often a small piece of music, usually no more than a few bars long, infiltrates my consciousness, and i desire nothing more than to hear it over and over within the context of the complete track.
most recently, thanks to @dailyscrapbook, that particular excerpt starts at 3:11 on Jigsaw…
Had to interrupt my Glee listening spree for this. I wouldn’t be surprised if this resulted in a mass Jigsaw-listening spree.
